Yellow and Green

Today I added a perennial to the garden, an Echinacea and Rudbeckia hybrid called Summerina. When I unloaded it at home, I noticed that it came with a complimentary green sweat bee. This one is still tiny compared to the one I spotted last week, but it looks to be the same species.

(note: apparently Summerina is a trademarked plant name.)

Garden, May 15

The lilacs and dianthus are in bloom. Echinacea and hibiscus have emerged.
